6th pay discussed

IMPHAL, Aug 11: A delegation of the government employees led by president of the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO along with members of the COTA discussed about implementation of 6th central pay commission recommendations with the government officials led by the chief secretary DS Punia.

A release of the JAC said the meeting lasted about one hour and the employees delegation pressed for implementation of 6th central pay commission recommendation in toto. The government officials assured to effect an order in this regard immediately after completion of rectification of pay anomaly of the employees. As rectification of the pay anomaly is being conducted by a subcommittee and its report is to be furnish within a three months period. The subcommittee is to submit its report by September 6 and the chief secretary made an appeal to the employees to wait till September 6 to which the JAC delegation responded in affirmative, the statement said.

Regarding the earlier orders made by the government before agreeing to implement 6th pay commission recommendations, the JAC delegation demanded issuance of ‘keep and aviance’ order to the government order made on May 5, 2010 and July 7, 2010. The chief secretary gave his indication to agree on the demands of the employees, the statement said.

The JAC appeal all the DDOs not to withdraw salaries and wait for the government order effecting implementation of the 6th central pay commission recommendations.
