IMPHAL, Aug 19: The Nupilal and Khongjom War Memorial Society (NKWMS), Yaiskul Hiruhanba Leikai, has appealed to the UNC and ANSAM to withdraw the economic blockade immediately in view of peaceful co-existence of all communities of the state.
Addressing a press meet at New Checkon Keithel Maring Lane, the secretary of NKWMS, Y. Indrani stated that the members of UNC and ANSAM are all Naga brothers of the state and they should not harass their fellow brothers by imposing economic blockades.
The state government should also chalk out measures to solve the myriad problems of the state in the greater interests of the welfare of the people, she noted.
Indrani also stated that the UNC and ANSAM should take up democratic means to fulfill their demands rather than employing undemocratic means like imposition of economic blockade along the national highways thereby depriving the right to life of all people.
