Ccpur gets its first model high school

IMPHAL, Aug 26: The Gandhi Memorial Model High School located at Tuibung was inaugurated today as the first model high school of Churachandpur district.
The inaugural function was attended by education minister L. Jayentakumar and PHED minister TN Haokip as the chief guest and president respectively.

Addressing the inaugural function, education minister Jayenta stated that taking care of the children is the sole responsibility of the government and society. The children need to be guided on the right path so as to enable them to become good pillars of the society, he noted.

He also said that the state government has been striving to bring quality education in the state through various Centrally sponsored schemes like SSA and RMSA.
The state government would try to fill up the deficient number of teaching staffs in various schools of the state as soon as possible, Jayenta stated.

He further elaborated that all necessary infrastructures have been installed at the GM Model School with the objective of imparting quality education to the students of Churachandpur district, and appealed to all to render utmost help and support to various programmes and policies on education.

Delivering the presidential speech, PHED minister TN Haokip lauded the state education department for setting up a model school at Churachandpur which would facilitate quality education for many students of the district. He also advised the students to be obedient and hardworking so as to become good and responsible citizens of the country.

Various sports items were also distributed by the education minister to the students of GM Model High School.
