IMPHAL, August 22: The Imphal College Students Union has strongly condemned transfer and posting of three lecturers of the college ahead of the visit of four member team of the National Assessment and accriditation Council.
A release of the students union said the NACC team comprising of Prof Abdul Rahiman, chairperson, Dr Jayprakash Mukundlal Twivedi, member, Dr Usha Mukhundan, member and Dr Ganesh Hegde, coordinator, NACC are to visit Imphal College from August 26 to 28 for assessment and accriditation of the college.
However, government’s action of sudden transfer and posting of lecturers who were taking key role for the visit of the NACC team has disheartened the students and teaching community.
Demanding revocation of transfer order for lecturers of Imphal college within August 24, the students union also warned of intense agitation if government fail to take action.
