IMPHAL, Aug 31: The State Executives of Janata Dal (Secular), Manipur along with the subordinates and Kendra Presidents meeting of the party was held at 2 pm on August 30 at the State Party Office at Konung Mamang (Puiremba Bazar). Ex-MP, W.Kulabidhu Singh, State President presided the meeting and made resolutions to endorse the state government’s decision to enhance powers to the Autonomous Hills District Councils of Manipur. The release further stated that the meeting members are of the view that the price rise of commodities are due to illegal and frequent bandhs and strikes and in particular the economic blockade on the National Highways. The party further expressed that the ‘Third front’ should fight the next state election, which would be held in the beginning of 2012 (Jan-Feb).
