IMPHAL, Aug 21: The underground KCP (MC) has no objections whatsoever to various developmental activities that have been taken up in the state for the welfare and the promotion of the farmers of the state.

According to a statement of the outfit signed by one Paikhomba, Secretary Publicity and Information of the KCP (MC), the outfit has no objections to the developmental activities which have been undertaken by the concerned Agriculture department for the welfare as well as development of the farmers of the state with the aid of the officials concerned if they done with sincerity.

But it has been very unfortunate that the officials concerned of the state Agriculture department have started playing some dual policies while carrying out various developmental activities for the welfare of the farmers of the state and this has become a matter of great and serious concern for the KCP(MC) because of the noticable lack of sincerity and transparency in the dealings of the implementing officials of the state Agriculture department.

Deliberating on some of the programmes for the welfare of the farmers of the state, the groups and it was because of this reason the outfit had started viewing the various aspects of developmental programmes in the state with seriousness, and it would be very unfair and unfortunate that some voices have been raised from some sections of the society in the state against the outfit, while the party is in the process of taking corrective measures against some of the high level officials of the department.

The statement also further mentioned that the outfit has enough strength to face any obligations in their operational activities particularly while activating the corrective measures against the officials of the state Agriculture department. It would be better to stop motivation by some at the behest of interested officials of the department to raise their voice against the present actions of the outfit which are to rectify the irregularities of some of the department officers.

Finally, the outfit urged the concerned officers of the Agriculture department including AO Pheiroijam Rajendro (Soil Chemist), AO Monoranjan and AO Jugindro to surrender to the outfit within the given three days in the notice served on them by the party which will end on August 22. Failure to do so would invite dire consequences and there will be no room for further negotiations or discussion with the outfit, the statement added.
