IMPHAL, Aug 19: The Youth Front of Manipur People’s Party has excoriated the state government for making the MPP Road adjacent to Mapal Kangjeibung as the parking area of auto rickshaws.
A statement of the front said that the state government has totally failed in all its functionaries including regulation of traffic in Imphal city. The recent order issued by the directorate of transport for making the MPP Road as the parking area is very unfortunate and it would only affect the historical site of Mapal Kangjeibung, it stated.
The front also appealed to all concerned to revoke the order in view of safeguarding the Kangjeibung and MPP office.
