IMPHAL, Aug 20: A 70 member Manipur team including 40 Armwrestlers and 30 officials left Imphal for Guwahati today to take part in the 9th Asian Armwrestling championship to be held at Guwahati from August 21 to 26.
The Manipur team was flagged off by Kh Ratankumar, MLA at Khuman Lampak this morning.
The team included three officials for the Indian team who will serve as team manager and assistant managers. They were Dr OK Mohendro (manager), Th Amujao (assistant manager) and G Babu Sharma (assistant manager).
