IMPHAL, Aug 17: The condition of the NH-53 has greatly improved and several loaded trucks and oil tankers have reached Imphal through the NH-53 yesterday.
A release of Transporters and Drivers Council of Manipur said that transportation from Jiribam to Imphal takes only two days after the road was improved by the council as well PWD. More loaded trucks and oil tankers are coming on the NH-53.
Further, it said that security escorts have been arranged for the trucks and tankers that will be leaving Imphal on August 18 and so the drivers should report to the parking at Langjing for loading boulders which will be used in the road repairing works of NH-53.
