IMPHAL, Sep 26: Troops of the 15 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under the HQ IGAR (S) launched an operation in Samaram Mayai Keithel and apprehended a KYKL cadre at 1:30 pm on September 26. The cadre is identified as Ningthoujam Kanoibi Singh alias Jayanta, 31, S/o (L) N.Tolamu Singh, resident of Samaram Mayai Keithel.
Further, the troops of 31 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (s) apprehended one KCP cadre at Khudengthabi at around 5 pm on September 25 from one Maruti van bearing registration number MN 04A 1077 while moving from Imphal to Moreh. The cadre, Md.Faran Khan alias Apika, 22, S/o Md.Sirazuddin, resident of Lilong, Thoubal was apprehended and one mobile phone with a SIM card, a driving license and Rs.775 was recovered from him As per the release from the PRO IGAR (S), the cadre has been handed over to the Imphal West police station.
