IMPHAL, Sep 18: In a fire accident, house of Mr. Sokhomang Lupto of Chawangphai village near Gate No 4 of Moreh town was razed to ground on 15 September 2010. The fire burnt down the entire house alongwith the belongings of the house owner. Inmates of the house were not present inside the house when the incident took place. 31 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) immediately rushed to the spot alongwith fire tenders and assisted in putting off the razing inferno. Seeing the plight of the family, the Assam Rifles presented them with basic necessities like rations, net mosquito, blanket, tarpaulin alongwith the financial assistance to overcome the tragedy and provide succor to grieved family, said a release of IGAR (S).
