Imphal, Sep 11: A team of Thoubal police removed a hand grenade which was placed by some unidentified gunmen suspected to be UGs in front of a temple belonging to one Adhikarimayum Borthakur Sharma, 78, son of late A. Goruahari of Thoubal Samram Maning Leikai this morning around 9 am.
According to a police source, the hand grenade was placed by the unidentified men suspected to be UGs in front of the temple this morning around 5.30 am and was initially found there by the family members who immediately informed the Thoubal police. A team of Thoubal police arrived at the spot and removed the hand grenade safely, the police source added.
