Imphal, Sep 24: The recent sitting of the State Advisory Board on NSA under the chairmanship of Justice (Redt) SP Rajkhowa has approved the detention of 17 undertrials belonging to separate undergroups.
According to a highly placed official source, the official sitting of the board on NSA led by Justice (Redt) SP Rajkhowa, along with two other members of the board, Dr. Yanimini Phukan, Senior Advocate and Jogindra Singh, Senior Advocate, conducted several rounds of sitting on September 14, 15 and latest on September 20 to examine the recommendations of the State Home department on the detention of 17 undertrials. The State Advisory Board has approved for the detention of the said undertrials for a period of 12 months under NSA.
