IMPHAL, Sep 16: Displaying banners like “Save Earth, Plant Trees” the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer under the theme “Ozone layer protection: Governance and compliance at their best” was observed today at Imphal jointly organised by the DESAM and Department of Ecological Wing, Government of Manipur by organizing a mass silent rally.
As a part of the observation a mass rally mainly participated by students from different schools and colleges was organized covering various streets of Imphal. The rally kicked off from the Kangla southern gate and covered many parts of the Imphal East areas before ending at the southern gate of Kangla. Besides students, officials of the department of Ecological Wing also took part in the rally.
