IMPHAL, Sep 12: The proscribed People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) clarified that the party has imposed restriction on the cargo service and not on the passenger service of the vehicles plying on the NH-39.
A statement of the highway task force of the outfit said that the press statement of the president of All Manipur Inter State Bus Owners’ Association, N. Kunjakeshwor, is quite misleading to the general public as the party has never imposed restrictions on the movement of passengers on the NH-39.
However, the party has put restrictions only on the movement of cargo vehicles on the NH-39 and those vehicles which carry passengers along with cargoes shall be held responsible for any undesired consequence, the statement added.
