Rally taken out at Ccpur for salary

LAMKA, Sep 18: Employees of the District council under the churarchandpur district council Teachers Association, CDCTA organised a Rally today demanding payment of six months salaries from March to August 2010, immediate implementation of MGEL, Release of 14% DA from 01-01- 2001 to 03 – 06 -2005 and implementation of pension benefit scheme for the district council employees.

The rallyist while proceeding to the DC/ Ccpur office to submit a memorundum for the state chief secretary, CS, through the DC carried placards which reads ‘Salary is our constitutional rights’ ,’Teachers have their right to get salary’ and so on ‘A copy of the memorundum have also been submitted to the chairman, ADC Ccpur.
The DC Ccpur received the memo and then assured to forward to the appropriate authorities.

The CDCTA in the memorandum said the teachers were sincerely performing their duties and support their families. It said they have to support their families and none payment of the salaries have caused untold hardship to their families and children.

IT also urged for immediate completion of MGEL or district council employees list of Ccpur based on the sanctioned post. In this connection it said repeated request has been made by the CDCTA but were turn down due to which many restrictions were impose with regards to the pay and pensions of the teacher.

Early completion will help the teachers in the direction of implementation of 6th central pay commission.

Pending 14% DA from 2001-2005 be released to the employees of the teachers soon said the release adding many other department have drawn their arrears from 2006. It urged the appropriate authorities to release their arrears soon while praying for the implementation of pension benefit as well.

The memorundum has been signed by Tuankhanlal and D Letkholal president and secretary of the council respectively.
