Shanglen foundation laid

IMPHAL, Sep 20: MLA O. Joy today laid the foundation stone of Ebudhou Koubru Loyalakpa Shanglen at Narankonjil this morning, which will be built at an estimated cost of Rs.10 lakhs from his local area development fund.
While speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony chief guest O. Joy said that prevention and preservation of forests and other faunas are becoming important. He further said due to cutting down of trees for some purpose or the other from jungles had increased global warming which was melting the ice in cooler regions causing floods. Maintaining forest is important in society today for this reason, he said.
About the Langthabal Assembly constituency, he further assured that under the development scheme sanctioned by the state government he would make a shrine in Langthabal area and also develop Leisang Hiden, Chandranadi and Heibokching bio-diversity pipe lining for water supply.
He requested the people of the area and others not to give disturbance in the works which were taken up for the benefit of general people of Langthabal.
MPP officials, people of Narankonjil area and the Committee of Ebudhou Koubru Loyalakpa also participated.
