IMPHAL, Sep 12: The RIMS Nurses Association, Lamphelpat has decried the action by a police sub-inspector who threatened a staff nurse. A press release by the prsident of the association Ch.Subadani has stated that at around 11.30 pm yesterday, SI Kipgen of Lamphel police barged into the hospital regardless of the serious patients in the hospital and threatned a staff nurse at gunpoint.
The release further states that the action commited by the police officer on a nurse doing her duty is an act of terrorism and is vehemently condemed. An emergency meeting will be held at the infection control room of the hospital at 11 am on Monday to further discuss this serious issue.
