IMPHAL, Sep 22: Discovering the movement of contraband items, troops of 42 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR(S) launched operation in the general area Vijaypur on 21 September at 11:30 am. The Silver coloured van regd No MN 01 W 8133 was carrying 250-300 kgs of Pangolin Shells in 5 packed cartons. The apprehendee was identified as Ms Thethem, age 39, wife of S Ojit Singh, resident of village Nangpok Sikmei, Thoubal district. The apprehendee along with recovered items was handed over to the Forest Office Pallel.
