Youth asked to stay away from corruption

    Imphal, Sep 25: The 41 NSS Foundation Day was observed today at the Senate Hall of the Manipur University with Prof. HNK Sarma, Pro-Vice Chanchellor, MU as the chief guest.
    Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, Prof. HNK Sarma advised the youths to avoid the present system of corruption in the country and further appealed to the NSS volunteers to work sincerely and voluntarily in high spirit.
    Prof. P Nabachandra Singh former programme Co-ordinator NSS Cell, MU, and Pradip Kumar Jha, Project Director, Manipur AIDS Control Society attended as guest of honour while the function was presided by Prof. Amar Yumnam, Dean, School of Social Science, MU.
    The chief guest and president of the function today released the Souvenir and the annual Report 2009-10 respectively during the inauguration, and three prizes of 1st, 2nd and 3rd in connection with Spot Essay Writing Competition 2010 were also distributed to the winning students at the function.
