3 UGs arrested by Govt forces

IMPHAL, Oct 14: Security forces have been able to nabbed three activists of various underground outfits including one woman overground activist from separate incidents since yesterday.
According to a release of the addl.SP Thoubal, commandos of Thoubal district police acting on specific information regarding the presence of valley based UG elements in the general area of Salungpham village conducted search operations yesterday nabbed one woman overground worker of UNLF identified as Phuritsabam Apabi alias Indubala, 30, wife of Ph. Sharatchandra Singh of Salungpham Mayai Leikai.
Meanwhile troops of 12 Maratha LI of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (S) while launching a search operation in the general areas of Bengun Mayai Leikai abled to apprehend one PULF (Azad) cadre today at around 4:10 am.
An official release of the PRO IGAR said the the apprehended militant has been identified as one Sahidur Tomba, 29, son of Nasib Ali a resident of Bengun Mayai Leikai from whom one mobile handset was recovered.
In yet another incident, a combined team of Imphal West district police commandos and 26 AR personnel arrested one UNLF activist from the house of one Hajarimayum Medha Devi of Khwai Brahmapur Nagamapal Laimayum Leirak today at around 5:45am.
A official release of the SSP, Imphal West has identified the arrested activist as lance corporal Ningthoujam Jeevan alias Yaishkul, 35, son of Late N Biramangol Singh of Nongmaikhong Mayai Leikai having Army no 560.
On spot verification he declared himself to have joined the outfit through one s/s 2nd lt Tonsana of UNLF and working under one Tomba of the outfit, added the release.
