IMPHAL, Oct 22: The RD & PR minister Md. Allaudin Khan has excoriated the deputy chairman of state planning board MLA Bijoy Koijam who said “RD & PR minister Allaudin should resign on moral ground for failing to perform his responsibilities” during the inaugural function of Koirou Community Hall held on October 20.
Speaking to mediapersons this afternoon at his office-chamber, the RD & PR minister Allaudin Khan stated that despite of illness he has been performing his responsibilities as a minister holding some important portfolios like RD & PR, MOBC, fisheries, and veterinary & animal husbandry. The Chief Minister has been evaluating the performance of each and every minister, but the remark made by MLA Bijoy Koijam against him in a public function seems to be a wilful remark made beyond his own responsibilities, he added.
Allaudin claimed that he has been working for the betterment of people of the state despite of so many inconveniences he faces. The MGNREGS has been implemented successfully in all districts of the state under his tenure, he noted.
Moreover, the MOBC department has become functional in the state through his painstaking efforts made to uplift the status of minorities in the state, Allaudin contended.
Allaudin also appealed to the people not to give disturbances to the implementation of Centrally sponsored schemes like MGNREGS and PMGSY in the state.
He said that the state government would give adequate compensations to the owners of fish farms which were demolished during the recent flood after the final survey report is submitted to the concerned department.
Allaudin further said that Bishnupur will be made a model fishery district with Loktak Lake as the fishing hub of the state. The Central government will soon sanction Rs 200-500 crores for the said project which aims at surplus production of fish in the state.
