Central official inspects MsDP project in CCPur

Lamka Oct 7: Vivek Malhotra, secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, conducted inspections at various works and constructions carried out under the multi-sectoral development project, MsDP, in Churachandpur today.

During the inspection which started from 8 am, the visitng Union government official was guided by the DC Churachandpur Jacintha Lazurus. IAS, Manmuanching SDO/Ccpur MCS, the ZEO Ccpur Joseph Lalrothang and a host of officials from the district along with a team of the media.
He inspected 9 constructions with 3 water tank and 6 school buildings during which he was seen telling implementing agencies how to make minority and others benefit the infrastructures so as to make it useful for all while at the other places he was seen telling officials dealing with the implementation of how to maintain quality in constructions.

After visiting the Lamzang government high school, he interacated with mediaperson at IB Khuga Dam.

During the interaction, he was queried about reasons for the deduction of 11.75 percent out of MsDP fund by the state government which he responded by saying he was so far not aware of the deduction and this is the first time he came to know of it.

Maintaining the fund was meant for development of the minorities he said he will take up the matter with the appropriate authorities of central government.
Trying to do away the peoples complaint that there are no advertisement when the time for application of scholarship under the MOBC comes round and that everybody is in dark about it, he said in record that he will instruct the government particularly the state government to publicise it while requesting all to be watch out of such a time and go to the MsDP websites and get the maximum benefit out of it.

Regarding inability to get second installment by some of the schemes beneficiaries he said in many other district it was given way back in December, 2009 pointing out that it has to be release after the report of completion or work progress reach the concern authorities.

The visiting central government official also said that on the 12 February this year 2nd installment has been released and the beneficiaries are supposed to get by March while assuring to take the matter upto the central government.
