IMPHAL, Oct 14: The Governor Gurbachan Jagat has greeted the people of Manipur on the auspicious and joyous occasion of Sri Durga Ashtami.
In his message, the Governor said Durga Puja symbolizes the victory of right over wrong, virtue over vice, saintliness over savagery, moral force over brute, physical strength and spiritualism over gross materialism.
Gurbachan Jagat also appealed to the people to rededicate themselves to the endeavour of building a modern and prosperous Manipur based on equity while celebrating the Durga Puja.
