Injured evacuated to Imphal

IMPHAL, Oct 7: All the critically injured persons of the Wednesday Tamei mishap have been evacuated to Imphal today and they have been treated in a hospital in the state capital.

Four persons including two women and two men were killed and 12 others injured when a mini truck got skidded and fell into a deep gorge on the I.T Road on Wednesday when the vehicle was heading for Imphal.

Meanwhile, the various Liangmai social organisations including LNC, LNBA, LNKR and many others have expressed their appreciation to the 10th Dogra Regiment stationed at Tamei for the needed help extended while conducting rescue operation in the accident site. The organisations also thanked Tamei SDO Bhogen for his valuable service extended to the injured.

Mention may be made that one Madhu Singh of Sagolband Vijoy Govinda of Imphal, Ibecha of Nambol Khaba, Ranita of Mekola, Tidim Road area, Namkhon of Kadi village, Tamei subdivision died in the accident yesterday.
