IMPHAL, Oct 15: A motorist was killed in a road mishap this afternoon at Uripok Kangchup road near Khaidem Leikai today.
The victim has been identified as one Sinam Basanta alias Angouba, 34, s/o Shyamkishore of Lamsang Akham Koubru Laiharaopham.
Reports said that a motorcycle ridden by Basanta bearing registration No (pulsar motorcycle) MN01R-5904) was knocked down by a water tanker bearing registration No. MN05-3744 and Basant died instantly.
A case has been registered by the Lamphel police.
