IMPHAL, October 25: Cdt Parikshit Thoudam (Class X) of Sainik School Imphal brought laurels to the state of Manipur by bagging second position in the National Science Seminar 2010 held at Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM), Bangalore from Oct 8 to Oct 9.
The function was organized by National Council of Science Museum in collaboration with ISRO, BHEL, HAL, Astra Zeneca, Biocon and Infosys. He represented Manipur after qualifying both District and State level science Seminar 2010 conducted in the month of Aug.
A total of ten participants were selected in the National Science Seminar out of 35 participants’ from all States and Union Territories of India and they will be called for a screening test at Kolkata to select the candidate who will represent India in the International Science Seminar to be held at Seoul, South Korea. Cdt Parikshit Thoudam was awarded with Certificate, Memento, book and scholarship of Rs1000/- per month for one year.
