IMPHAL, Sept, 30: Manipuri boxer L Sarita has said she would be returning the Arjuna Award conferred to her in the year 2009.
A statement released by the boxer said the prestigious award would be return to Union sports minister MS Gill tomorrow at the later’s residence at 12, Mother Teressa Marg, near Gyara Murti, New Delhi.
Sarita’s statement said the recent selection trial for the Asian Games, 2010 was unjust and she arrived at the extreme step in her fight against corruption in Indian sports management.
