IMPHAL, Oct 2: The Spastic Society of Manipur will be felicitating three disabled sports persons, namely Th Joykumar (Locomotor Disabled), Yumkhaibam Shyamkumar Singh (Hearing Impaired) and Sarangthem Arunkumar Singh (Hearing Impaired) who bagged medals at the recent Asian Arm Wrestling Championship held at Guwahati.
The felicitation function will be held on October 4 office of the Spastic Society of Manipur.
A release of the society said that felicitation function will also be marked with the release of the Manipuri version of the ‘Badhte Kadam’ song, a national discoverability campaign to be held in November 2010 across the country. The song is being sung by Sadananda and Sarita Gazmir who will also be felicitated for their support towards their cause to disability.
The society asked the general public to join the venture in creating awareness in the community about the program.
