Vety camp held at Irengbam

IMPHAL, Sep 29: A veterinary camp organized by 4/8 Gorkha Rifles was held today at Irengbam in Bishnupur district.
More than 50 domestic animals were given treatment by specialized veterinary doctors during the camp which was attended by MLA I. Ibohanbi and CO of 4/8 GR CK Sheshadari.

Speaking at the veterinary camp, MLA Ibohanbi lauded the armed forces for organizing such veterinary camp for the villagers apart from maintaining law and order in the state, and appealed to the people to have a positive attitude towards the armed force personnel.

Pledging to work sincerely in the interests of the general public, CO Sheshadari maintained that the armed force personnel are ever willing to serve the public by rendering all kinds of support and assistance. The Army will forever uphold the trust and confidence of the people of Manipur, he noted.

He further stated that the Army is not against anybody including the UGs but it is striving to bring peace and harmony in the state under the constitutional framework of the country.
Sheshadri also stated that the Army will not prevent any development work taken up by the UGs but it will not tolerate extortions and intimidations served to the general public, and added that the Gorkha Rifles will render utmost to the youths of the state who desire to pursue their career in armed forces, sports and any other good activity.
