AR thanked for assistance to accident victims at Tengnoupal

    IMPHAL, November 10: One person succumbed to injuries while another 29 persons got injured some critically when a bus going towards Pallel, Chandel district overturned near Saviom village Tengnoupal police station on the morning of November 8.
    According to a release of the Maring Urarap Assembly HQ, Machi, the passenger carrying  608 canter bearing registration no MN-04/1423 plying from Kharou Khullen to Pallel overturn reportedly due to a brake failure.
    It has also stated that almost all persons traveling on the canter on the fateful morning were injured however most of them were discharged after administering necessary first aid.
    It has also stated that personal of 29 AR Tengnoupal post and the Tengnoupal police also came to the spot to assist the injured persons and provided the necessary first aid to the victims at the 26 AR, Pallel.
    Most of the victims were discharged after administering first aid however the seriously injured were referred to various other hospitals and clinics in the state capital including the RIMS, JNIMS and the Raj Poly clinic. However one among the seriously injured identified as one Kh. Angkha of Kanpang Khunou, Chandel district, had sustained severe head injuries and succumbed to his injuries the next day.
    It has also added that the members of the association donated blood for the injured and that various other organizations and individuals including W. Morung Makunga, Local MLA, ex MLA DK, Korungthang, local ADC members, LR. Kothil and Ch. Meshil visited the injured at the hospitals.
