IMPHAL, Nov 4: The state cabinet meeting convened this morning has approved to extend two years the age of superannuation for college teachers and government employees.
According to a highly official source, superannuation age for college teacher has been extended to 62 against the existing 60 years and 60 years for government employees against the existing 58 years.
The cabinet meet also discusses irregularities found in the primary teachers recruitment process as per the inquiry reports tabled by the inquiry committee instituted by the government. Consequently, the result of the recruitment will be declared only after necessary rectification.
