CM inspects market construction sites

IMPHAL, Nov 5: A ministerial team led by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi has once again inspected the ongoing construction works of Kangla Fort, women’s markets of Khwairamband Bazar, tribal market at New Lambulane and Muslim Girls’ Hostel at Hatta today.
The team inspected the approach roads inside the Kangla Fort as well as the helipad, inner and outer moat and the western gate. During today’s visit Chief Minister instructed concerned contractors to remove the sentry posts earlier constructed by Assam Rifles and other old buildings which do not suit to the beautification process
of the Kangla Fort.
Later, the team inspected the Bir Tikendrajit south-extension gate, BT Park, women’s markets of Khwairamband Bazar, Tribal market at New Lambulane and Muslim Girls’ Hostel.
The ministerial team included works minister K Ranjit, RD & PR minister Allaudin Khan, TD minister DD Thaisii, deputy chairman of state planning board Bijoy Koijam, chairman of PDA Dr. Kh. Loken, and MLA T Mangibabu.
