Imphal, Nov 3: A five day training program on ‘Basic Course on Disaster Management’ for the police officers of the state was inaugurated on November 2 by K.Moses Chalai, I.A.S, Commissioner, Hr & Technical Education, Government of Manipur at the conference hall, State Guest House, Imphal. In the training, which was participated by about thirty-five police officials, Moses Chalai emphasized the importance of disaster management particularly by the police forces as they are usually the first responders in any situation.
