Radhabinod Koijam blasts govt for PDS failure

IMPHAL, Nov 16: Charging the various problems faced presently by the state to be the handiwork of the self proclaimed patriots of the state, Radhabinod Koijam, opposition leader, chairman PAC has today questioned the stoic silence maintained by the Congress led government on the failure of government distribution system of SK oil for BPL and APL homes for the past many months.

Speaking on the occasion of the celebration of the 150 years of institution of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, held at the office of the Accountant General, Audit Manipur Imphal, he has further declared the e-governance a total failure in the.

He has also stated that the state government has totally failed to provide e-governance, which has the motive to provide transparency and accountancy in the workings of the government.

While leveling that carelessness and the independent working style of the government has led to the misuse of the various developmental funds which has been sanctioned for the benefit of the common people, he has stated that the government should not compromise on the issue of misusing the funds in the name of developmental constructions.

Lastly he has appealed to the various level employees of the CAG to be honest and sincere in their work, as the people rely on the department for clarity in the usage of the various financial funds.

The function was attended by Vivek kumar Dewangan, IAS commissioner Finance and Laishram Nandakumar Singh, chairman COPU, MLA as guest of honour.

A logo of the department was also launched at the function today.
