IMPHAL, November 7: A civil Jeep carrying five passengers toppled on the road due to break failure on today at around 6.30. The accident took place near BSNL tower. Rescue column with medical team rushed to the accident site from Company Operating Base Khongsang at a short notice. One civilian died in the accident and two were seriously injured namely Rejambui, 34, son of Thailapi, residence of Longdi Pabram and Raju, 25, son of Tombi, residence of Uripok, Imphal. The injured persons has been evacuated to MI Room of Company Operating Base, Khongsang where necessary first aid was administered by Nursing Assistant and the dead body have been handed over to police representatives and injured persons evacuated to District Medical Hospital, Tamenglong, a release has said.
