IMPHAL, November 16: Troops of 15Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) apprehended one KYKL cadre at around 11 pm on 15 Nov 2010 in Langthavan Awang Leikai of Thoubal district. The apprehendee was identified as Moirangtham Madhu Singh, 56, son of Late Narotom Singh, resident of Langthavan Awang Leikai and was handed over to Kakching Police Station.
Later, troops of 21 Assam Rifles apprehended one KYKL cadre at around 2..00 pm on 15 Nov10 in Irengband of Thoubal district. The apprehendee was identified as Epham Jonoush, 19, son of Epham Rashimuddin, a resident of Khetri Awang Leikai. 6 live rounds of AK 47 was recovered from the apprehendee who alongwith recoveries was handed over to Kakching Police Station.
In another incident, troops of 28 Assam Rifles launched operation in general area Canchipur Bazar and apprehended a UNLF terrorist at around 5 pm on November 15, 2010. The apprehendee was identified as H Gyaneshwar Singh, 68, son of Late Gourachang, resident of Singjamei Chiron Leikai. The apprehendee was handed over to Singjamei Police Station.
Later, troops of same Unit apprehended one terrorist of proscribed PREPAK outfit from general area Langthabal of Imphal West district at around 11.20 pm November 15, 2010. The apprehendee was identified as Heigrujam Ramananda Singh alias Boy, 34, son of H Sanjaoy Singh, resident of Langthabal Kunja Mayai Leikai, according to a release.
