IMPHAL, Nov 3: The Imphal West district police commandos arrested one activist of the proscribed RPF/PLA from Minuthong near MMTA on November 1.
A statement released by the SSP Imphal West district, L Kailun, stated that the militant activist was arrested around 5 pm.
The individual is identified as one Salam Nabachandra alias Ibomcha alias Naba alias Rupa alias Dinku, 39, s/o (L) S. Tomba Singh Keibul Awang Leikai.
It said that on spot verification, the individual disclosed that he was working for the outfit under one Sanjit alias Sena and Ranbir of PRF/PLA, finance section since 1997. Further, he disclosed that he had collected huge amount of money amounting to around ten lakhs from various departments including PWD, IFCD, ZEO, Adhaksya and Pradhan and handed over to one Kala of RPF/PLA for party fund.
Three mobile hand set and some incriminating documents relating to RPF/PAL were seized from the possession of the arrested militant, said the statement.
