IMPHAL Nov 1: Troops of 17 Assam Rifles apprehended one NNW (PSG) cadre at around 5 am today from Visichu area of Ukhrul. The arrested militant has been identified as SS Lt Johny, 35, son of Saisamao of Phaibung Khullen, Senapati. One 9mm Pistol with magazine with live ammunitions were recovered from the arrested militant.
Troops of 29 Assam Rifles also apprehended one KCP(Chingolgakpa) cadre namely Punshiba Singh, 19, son of Shanta Mani Singh of Takhel at around 2.30 pm yesterday at Sita, Chandel, said a release of the AR.
