IMPHAL Nov 7: One youth was shot to injure to his left arm by Village Defence Force, who were on duty at Khewa Thongkhong yesterday late yesterday night under Porompat police station.
The injured youth is identified as Maibam Mocha alias Jitchandra 21 year son of M Kumar Singh of Khurai Thangjam Leikai.
According to source, the incident happened when the victim along with his friends tried to challenge the VDF personnel about the gambling of “lagao†which was played at Khewa Thongkhong.
In the meantime, the victim was brought to the JNIMS and further he was shifted to Raj Polyclinic for further treatment.
