IMPHAL, December 8:11 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division organized a Seminar on `Zeliangrong- The way Ahead’ on 08 Dec 10 at Indoor Stadium, Tamenglong. The aim of the seminar was to discuss issues related to the upliftment of Zeliangrong community and to increase awareness about the Zeliangrongs and their unique identity, culture and ethos. Eminent speakers including, DP Panmei, Social and Political Activist, Minister and Advisor Zeliangrong interim Baudi, Thomas Kamei, Chairman Zeliangrong Baudi, Dingdilui, SDO Tousem Sub Division attended the seminar.
Col Santanu Dayal, Officiating Commander 59 Mountain Brigade was the Chief Guest for the Seminar. He urged the social and political groups, and academedicians to make a concerted effort for the upliftment of society.
