2 UGs arrested by SF

IMPHAL, Dec 13: Security forces apprehend at least two militant cadres and two overground workers in separate counter insurgency operations launched in different parts of the state.
A statement issued by the PRO IGAR (S), said discovering the presence of UG cadres in the general area of Sita Track, troops of the 29 AR launched an operation and apprehended two overground workers (OGW) and one volunteer recruit of UPPK at around 11 am on December 11 from a Tata Sumo bearing Regt. No. MN/05A-2445.
The individuals have been identified as one Y. Surjit Singh (OGW), 22, S/O (L) Nilachandra Singh of Labok Part IV-, Poilapool, District Cachar (Assam), Moirangthem Sanatombi Singh (OGW), 34, s/o (L) M. Kanal Singh of Langathel Moirang Leikai, Ayekpam Tochouba Singh, (volunteer recruit), 19, s/o (L) A. Babatombi Singh of Gulapthol, PO-Biopara, Imphal East District. They were handed over to Imphal West police station, it said.
Further the statement said that in yet another incident, local villagers of Lokchao Village caught hold of an over ground worker of UPPK from the general area of Lokchao on December 11 around 3 pm and handed over to the 29 AR.
The individual is identified to be one Maibam Ibomcha Singh, 35, son of Maibam Angou Singh of Sagolmang. He has been handed over to the Tengnoupal Police station.
