Boys’ Scouts camp ends

    IMPHAL, Dec 27: The closing function of the 4th State Camporee, 2010 organized by the Manipur State Bharat Scouts and Guides which started on December 24 ended today with Dr T Meinya, MP (inner) attending the closing function as chief guest.
    Speaking to the gathering during the closing ceremony, Dr T Meinya stated that the existence of such scouts and guides in the state and further organizing such camps which is participated by children of various communities of the state will help in lessening the communal divide amongst the various ethnic groups of the state and further pull back the youth of the state from straying into unwanted direction which will help the state in tackling the insurgency problems in the state.
    Further elaborating on the importance of organizing such camps in the state, the MP stated that it will further helped in strengthening the brotherly bond among the various participants of the camp which is participated by children from the age of 8 to 18 from various schools of the state.
    He further elaborated that when the people of the state stand united no outside force can break in and there will nothing that would be impossible if the people of the state without thinking about their own ethnicity.
    The function was also attended by P Saratchandra Singh, IAS (retd) and Sushil Kumar, IPS, state commissioner as the president and guest of honour respectively.
