IMPHAL, Dec 30: The Tamenglong Autonomous District Council has condole the sad demise of Kaningchung Gonmei, former vice chairman of the Tamenglong Autonomous District Council yesterday morning at his residence at Thanagong village in Khoupum valley of Nungba sub-division, Tamenglong district.
According to a condolence message of G Soihem Haomei, chairman ADC, Tamenglong, mentioned that the deceased Kaningchung Gonmei was elected MDC, from Nungnang Circle constituency on November, 24, 1978 and assumed charge as vice chairman on March 6, 1980.
Tamenglong district in particular has lost a charismatic and dynamic leader the message added.
