Cong and India are inseparable says Ranjit

    IMPHAL, Dec 15: As a part of the year long observation programme of the 125 years anniversary of Indian National Congress, another meeting of the Congress party was held today at Sekmai which was organised by Sekmai Block Congress Committee.
    During the observation cum meeting, state work minister K Ranjit Singh, MPCC president Gaikangam, MLA, VP MPCC E Dwijamani, MLA A Suraj, general secy Vidyapati Senjam, secy Jyotin Waikhom, Secy L. Radhakeshore, Bira Singh were present as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively. Newly elected Nagar Panchayat members which include seven elected without contest and two yet to face election candidates were also on the dias.
    While speaking at the function works minister K Ranjit Singh said that a debate on Indian history means debating on the history of Congress because the Congress party and India are inseparable.
    He further said that in short period, Congress rule in Manipur has brought a lot of transformation. He said hill people extended enormous support to the ADC election which was defunct for several years.
    He also appeal to the people to extend support and cooperation to the Congress party in the upcoming Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council election in the state.
    MPCC president Gaikhangam, in his speech said Congress party is the biggest and oldest party in India. He said the party was established with promises made to the people of the country which the party has always been able to keep with the help of the people. The party has brought numerous developments in various fields in the country as well as the state which has made the party the biggest and most powerful political party in the country as well as in several states of the country.
    The observation was held with the main objective of spreading the achievements  and past foundation, progress works and the future vision of the party among the people of the state, he added.
