IMPHAL, Dec 6: The Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has appeald to the concerned related school authorities of Jawahar Navodaya Vidalaya, Khumbong, Imphal west district to take stern actions against the senior students of the school who were involved in alleged homosexual practices in the school.
According to a release of DESAM signed by one LC Bobisana, Secy. Publicity and Propaganda of the student organization further mentioned that, the organization already knew that, the respective parents of the students who have committed sexual crime inside the said school were loitering around to conceal the crimes committed by their wards recently by chasing around the school authorities for exemption of the punishment and such habits of the parents must be avoided and let their accused wards be punished so to realize themselves and learn about disciplines, moral and character which a students need to possessed.
The statement of the DESAM further appealed to the school authority of JNV Khumbong to cooperate and give their detailed accounts to the recent investigations made by the official team from Shillong so as to avoid such conduct of bad habits by the students of the institution in the future to come, the statement added.
