IMPHAL, Dec 23: The Zeliangrong Union Tamenglong Zone has expressed gratitude with the Security Forces particularly the 11th Assam Rifles for its appreciable services extended so far to the people of Tamenglong District. The 11th AR under the leadership of Col.P.S.Chonkar SM has been working hard for mutual understanding between various social organization, NGOs and security forces. As per the release, the colonel has been assisting the needy people in many ways under the MCA project and under his wing, many medical camps at remote villages, educational excursions outside the state for the under privilege student community alongwith many games and sports were also implemented under the MCA program. Further, the Zeliangrong Union stated the district was brought to normalcy under his sincere handling of public security measures.
While stating that Tamenglong is still lagging behind others in terms of development, the union asked people to come together hand-in-hand to work for peace and order for betterment of the society.
