Loumi Lup

    IMPHAL Dec 26: The Manipur Loumi Lup in pursuance of the resolutions adopted at the recently concluded 28 National Farmers’ Conference held at Maharashtra will submit a memorandum highlighting the interest of farmers to the state government. Failure to meet the demands will result in different forms of agitations, stated a release by the general secretary of the body, H Ibobi Singh.
    The release further states that, 11 delegates represented the state at the said conference held at Aurangabad from 9 to 12 December. The delegates addressed the conference regarding the present situation of the state and detailed on certain points regarding welfare of farmers, pension of Rs 2000 to be paid to farmers /labourers above 50 years of age.
