Missing Mohori still untraced

IMPHAL, Dec 27:  The whereabouts of a care taker (Mohori) of a contractor is still uncertain after he was abducted by three unidentified persons suspected to be militants on the evening of December 25 last a place in between Sangaikot and Chingjil Kojuma (Leinagnagtabi) village under Kumbi police station.
The abducted care taker has been identified as Md Abdulhei, 40, s/o Md Sajou of Terakhongshangbi village.
According to a reliable source, the incident occurred when the victim along with some of the labours were heading towards their work site at Leingangtabi village under Kumbi police station on a truck on December 25, evening around 6 pm, three unidentified persons suspected to be militants stopped their truck along their way in between Sangaikot and Chingjil Kojuma (Leinagnagtabi) village and he was singled out by the three suspected militants and taken away on the very same evening.
On the other hand, the family members has filed an official missing report with the concerned police station and the police are on active manhunt to trace his whereabouts by conducting search operations at various suspected areas of Wangoo and Kumbi areas since the official report of his abduction was received by the police. He was reportedly working as a care taker (Mohori) of contract work under taken by son of former speaker of Manipur Legislative Assembly, Maniruddin Seikh, the source added.
