IMPHAL, Dec 12: The first foundation day of Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation was held today at the premise of the Ibudhou Nouthingkhong Pakhangba Sanglen, Thangmeiband Leirenhanjaba Leikai.
The observation was attended by N Binoy, president Senior Citizens for Society Manipur, RK Jayentakumar, Kh Mangi Singh, K J Aphuna, Kh Ibotonbi, Y Iboyaima, Kh Joykisan, social worker and currently president of the NISA, Thangmeiband and president of the Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation.
Speaking at the function, Joykisan said the purpose of setting up the Thangmeiband development oganisation was to bring peace, progress and unity in the constituency.
He further said that he had no intention be key office bearer of Thangmeiband Development Organisation but due to pressure from the public he had to took a key role in bringing development, peace and unity in Thangmeiband.
Joykisan further said that he has no intention to contest in the next state assembly election. He however maintain that he will contest in the election if Thangmeiband voters asked me to do so for the sake of bringing development. He also vowed not go against the wishes of the people but ready to perform as per instruction of the general public.
